Playing Cards Omaha Beach

"Into the Jaws of Death" is a remarkable photo taken on Omaha beach on June 6th 1944 at 7.40 am by Robert F. Sargent. He was a photographer in the US Coast guards. Side with a landing craft assault pilot, he took photos of the Ist American division 16th regiment's landing on the Easy red sector under the fire of the Germans. The well known Big red one already illustrated itself in North Africa and Sicily.
