Dog Tag - 101ème division

The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) is a division of the U.S. Army trained primarily for airborne (in its early days), and later heliborne, assaults. The 101st, nicknamed the “Screaming Eagles” after the image on the division's insignia, distinguished itself during the Second World War, during the Normandy landings in June 1944. It then took part in Operation Market Garden in September 1944 and the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944.
