Postcard - La pointe du Hoc

Between Omaha Beach and Utah Beach, the Pointe du Hoc is one of the must-see sites on the Normandy landing beaches.

A strategic point on the Atlantic Wall, the Pointe du Hoc site was stormed on the morning of June 6, 1944 by Colonel Rudder's Rangers. It was one of the most difficult battles of the D-Day landings: in the end, only 90 of the 225 Rangers were able to continue the liberation.
